HUFFMAN, Texas (WTHR) - Police in Houston are asking for the public's help in identifying the culprits of a heist.

Investigators say two suspects parked their car outside of a pet store in Huffman, broke in and stole $44,000 worth of English and French bulldog puppies.

Surveillance cameras inside the store show the suspects dangling over the top of a pen, throwing puppies into a duffel bag. The thieves, who were wearing masks, hoodies and gloves, stole five puppies in all. Three of the dogs have been recovered.

"We need to find out who did this and that's where the public comes in," said Andrew Kahan of Crimestoppers Houston.

There is a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of one or both thieves.
