INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Breakfast Battle is on and it's putting an Indiana food truck in the national spotlight.

The Beast is based in Irvington, and it's run by two Indianapolis friends: Dyke Michaels and Casey Alexander.

The truck is known for its burgers, but Chef Dyke Michaels came up with a recipe for the Thomas Breakfast competition.

It's called the Al Pastor Breaded Tenderloin, and Michaels used Thomas English muffins for the bun and the breading.

You can help The Beast owners, Chef Michaels and Casey Alexander win the national title, by voting every day online.

The next cut in the competition is Sept. 19, so get your votes in soon.

Catch the Beast near Irvington Theatre every Monday and Thursday evening.
