CARMEL, Ind. (WTHR) — We're less than a week away from Thanksgiving, which means planning for the big meal is well underway for most families.

For some, that may include pre-ordering and having the meal delivered, or picking up a last-minute meal to go.

Market District in Carmel is taking orders for full Thanksgiving meals, but if you'd rather get out of the house, you can also make a reservation at Table, the restaurant inside the grocery store.

If you decide on a last-minute meal, Boston Market, Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel and Buca di Beppo all have options for pick-up on Thanksgiving.

Rick Hopkins, food and beverage director at Market District, has some ideas for ways to get creative with leftovers if you don't want Thanksgiving dinner every day until Christmas.

  • Turkey cranberry quesadilla: Turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, melted cheese melted on a grilled tortilla

  • Grilled gobbler sandwich: Turkey, mashed potato, gravy, cranberry sauce, sourdough bread, cheese. Grill it all up like a grilled cheese sandwich.

  • Turkey & veggie wild rice soup: Take your turkey and leftover vegetables, add a quart of chicken stock and cool to a simmer. Once the turkey has left the bone, add wild rice. Let the rice simmer in the soup for 20-30 minutes, and enjoy!
