TENNESSEE (WTHR) — Tennessee has a new gun law that allows you to get a concealed carry permit online.

The change in law means you wouldn't need any experience shooting a gun to get a permit.

According to WRCB, the new requirement is a 90-minute online course, instead of taking the previous requirement of an eight hour in-person, hands-on course.

You have to complete the handgun safety course within a year of your application.

The new law goes into effect next year.
