INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Ten Point Coalition is celebrating a year without a homicide in an area on the far-east side.

Ten Point has gotten a lot of help from Metro police to improve the area of 42nd Street and Post Road.

It's the fourth Indy Ten Point patrol area to go a year without a homicide since 2016.

As part of Monday's celebration, Rev. Harrison called for neighborhoods in Central Indiana to participate in a "Week of Prayer and Call to Action" this week.

It kicks that off Monday with a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m. at 29th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Street.

The alternate location in case of rain is Barnes United Methodist Church, 900 W. 30th Street
