Teenager rescued after falling from cliff at Hoosier National Forest

HOOSIER NATIONAL FOREST, Ind. (WTHR) — A teenager is recovering thanks to the heroic efforts of conservation officers in Hoosier National Forest.

A 14-year-old boy had fallen 50 to 60 feet from an area near Messmore Cliffs.

One of the conservation officers used his shirt to cover the boy who suffering hypothermia, broken bones and head trauma.

Rescuers had to carry him out on a stretcher before he was able to be flown by helicopter to a hospital in Louisville.
