Teen arrested in connection to Miami County death

PERU, Ind. (WTHR) – A Logansport woman has been arrested in connection to the death of a Miami County man earlier this week.

Brayden Berkshire, 18, is facing charges of reckless homicide and obstruction of justice according to our news gathering partners at the Pharos Tribune.

Berkshire is charged in the death of 18-year-old Nathan Hopper who was found dead in his home Sunday morning. Hopper suffered a gunshot wound.

Berkshire, a senior at Logansport High School and a member of the school's varsity volleyball team, was taken into custody Monday evening.

She is being held at the Miami County Jail. Bail was set at $15,000.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.
