While Donald Trump is the first presidential candidate to pay a visit to Indiana this election cycle, rival Sen. Ted Cruz is not far behind.

Sen. Cruz will attend the Indiana GOP's Spring Dinner  Thursday (April 21, 2016). Cruz will be joining Gov. Mike Pence and keynote speaker Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin at Primo's Banquet Center in Indianapolis.

Gov. Mike Pence, who met with Donald Trump privately before a Wednesday campaign stop, will meet with Sen. Cruz Thursday and also with Gov. John Kasich next week.

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell said invitations were offered to all of the presidential candidates, including Trump, whose campaign has not confirmed if he will attend.

Meantime, Heidi Cruz, Ted Cruz's wife, will also be in Indiana this week. She's scheduled for a phone bank meet and greet at 1:45 pm on April 21 in Martinsville (77 E. Washington St.).

Heidi Cruz will also attend a Cruz campaign office grand opening and phone bank in Evansville on April 22 (815 John street, Suite 110) at 9:00 am. She heads to Clark County GOP for another meet and greet at 12:30 pm at 500 Missouri Ave. in Jeffersonville later that day.

At 3:30 pm Friday, she heads to Indianapolis for a campaign office grand opening at 9615 E. 59th St.
