INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Making a Target run just got easier for Indiana shoppers. And you don't even have to leave your car.

Target's 'Drive Up' service, which allows shoppers to order their items through the Target app and then be brought out to their car, has expanded to Indiana.

Here’s how it works:

  • Select Drive Up as the fulfillment option when placing an order through the Target app
  • Target will notify you when your order is ready—usually within one hour
  • Hit the “I’m on the Way” button when you’re ready to head to the store
  • Park in a designated Drive Up spot, and within two minutes a team member will have the order at your car, ready to be loaded into the trunk or backseat

The company announced the expansion of the 'Drive Up' service to 200 locations across the Midwest Tuesday.

“We set out this year with an ambitious plan to bring Target guests nationwide more ways to shop on their terms,” said John Mulligan, Target’s chief operating officer.

This month's expansion to the Midwest puts the company half-way to it's goal of having the service across stores nationwide by the holidays.
