Suspect charged in 2017 Indianapolis triple homicide

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro police have charged a suspect in a 2017 triple homicide on the east side of Indianapolis.
Kenneth Lancaster, 24, has been formally charged for his involvement in the June 1 deaths of Mark and Keith Higgins and Jessica Carte in a home near 16th Street and Franklin Road.
The victims' bodies were found in the Forsythia Drive home when one of them didn't show up for work. Neighbors told police they heard gunfire around 8 a.m. the day the bodies were found.
Lancaster was already in jail in Hamilton County on unrelated charges.
