Sunny start, wet finish for Thursday

It is a cold morning in central Indiana, but at least much of the day will be sunny, so don't leave home without your sunglasses. The cloud deck started to break up overnight so we have a cool but clear start for the morning rush hour.

Later this afternoon we will see increasing clouds with a chance of some rain or snow showers developing in the afternoon.

We're still targeting Friday evening and night for the potential of some snow accumulation. Our computer models differ, but look for a wet snow and accumulations of an inch to two inches from Indy to Louisville. Some models have amounts as high as 3 inches.

That doesn't look good for the home opener for the Indianapolis Indians tomorrow night at Victory Field.

Snowfall will be done by Saturday sunrise and we're expecting a brighter, albeit chilly day with highs in the 30s.

The active pattern continues with another potential snow-maker Sunday evening into predawn Monday. Don't let this forecast get you down, we should get close to 60 degrees by the middle of next week.
