INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Leave the knives, hammers and toy grenades at home. Those all seem like no-brainers, but that's not the focus of the TSA summer travel tips.

Other issues fall to sunscreen and trying to ditch the checked bag for a carry-on.

The main thing to remember is that any liquid, including shampoo and sunscreen, has to be in a 3.4 ounce container or smaller.

If you have questions about what you can bring, you can send a picture to the TSA on Facebook or Twitter and they'll let you know.

You can also use the TSA app.

Other suggestions include getting to the airport at least two hours early, check the weather for delays and check your bag again for any prohibited items.
