Stray showers, high heat for Sunday

The heat continues today as a stalled boundary lifts northward through the day as a warm front. This front will prompt stray showers, especially through the early afternoon. Rain chance 30%. Hazy, hot and humid otherwise with highs near 90.

We'll see sitting on the south-side of this boundary for the first few days of next week keeping the forecast mainly dry but wildly warm for this time of year. Daytime highs through Wednesday will be in the lower 90s with many opportunities to break high temperature records.

This pattern looks to break with a cold front set to arrive next Thursday. A few scattered showers and storms will be possible.

Temperatures will fall drastically by Friday with highs only in the mid to upper 60s and lows possibly in the upper 40s. - Lindsey Monroe
