Most areas lucked out on the Fourth with dry weather, with only a few isolated storms in central Indiana.

Today with bring better rain chances, with scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. No severe weather is expected but some heavy downpours will be possible.

Heat and humidity will be high this afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to near 90° today with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.


Scattered storms will continue this evening, likely diminishing around sunset. It will be mild and muggy overnight, with lows in the low 70s.
Saturday will be much the same with scattered storms and highs back in the upper 80s.


A drier pattern starts to arrive on Sunday. A spotty shower will be possible with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler next week with highs in the low to mid 80s. The next chance of showers and storms holds off until Wednesday night.
