We're starting our weekend on a steamy note. Mostly sunny skies dominate for the first half of the day with increasing afternoon clouds and temps.

Highs top out near 86° with a strong southwest wind gusting to 30 mph at times.

With the heat of the afternoon -- there is a slim chance of isolated pop-up storms developing. This is a LOW chance but can't be completely ruled out.

As we lose daytime heating, the pop-up risk comes to an end. We're in for a mild evening with a few clouds as temperatures fall into the 70s.

All of Indiana has been placed under a Level 1 of 5 from the Storm Prediction Center with a threat of scattered severe storms Sunday.

As a cold front pushes through, stronger storms could develop along that boundary prompting the potential of damaging wind gusts and hail in the afternoon.

Storms that stay below severe limits will contain downpours and lightning -- impacting outdoor plans for Sunday.

Plan ahead for Sunday if you have outdoor plans. Scattered showers and storms will start to become widespread by 9 AM.

It looks like there is a potential of weather delays at the IMS for Sunday's shootouts.

A line of storms will come together along and just head of the cold front Sunday afternoon -- here's 1 PM.

The threat of severe weather continues into the afternoon -- here's 3 PM.

The line of storms will move through in the early evening -- damaging wind gusts are possible with this line bringing the potential of a few downed trees, branches and power lines.

Lingering scattered storms will be possible into the evening before clearing out overnight.

Temperatures peak in the upper 70s then fall into the lower 50s by early Monday morning as cooler air arrives behind the front.

We will start next week cooler, with highs in the range of 65 to 70 degrees on Monday. Monday and Tuesday look to stay dry.

There is a chance for more rain by early Wednesday. We are forecasting another round of heat later next week with highs back in the 80s starting Wednesday afternoon. As the heat starts to build, there will be a chance for a storm on Thursday.
