State police wrap up voter fraud investigation

Early voting in Marion County

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indiana State Police say they have wrapped up the investigation into voter registration fraud.

The findings from the investigation are now in the hands of the Marion County Prosecutor's Office. The department began looking into possible discrepancies in as many as 57 Indiana counties in October.

At the time, detectives said they had evidence of voter information being changed without explanation. In some cases, registration forms were filled out with fake names and addresses.

The prosecutor's office is now reviewing the results of the state police investigation for potential criminal charges.
