ANDERSON, Ind. (WTHR) — State police have identified the human remains found at a park in Anderson earlier this year.

The Herald Bulletin reports the remains are that of Ronald Mandrell, 52, who went missing in July 2018.

Madison County coroner Danielle Noone said state police used DNA evidence to confirm his identity.

In April, a father and son were hunting for mushrooms in River Bend Park and found several human bones.
