Sprint is confirming a serious data breach that may have given hackers unauthorized access to user accounts.

The access may have come through Samsung's "Add A Line" website, which includes sensitive information such as names, billing addresses, phone numbers and other details.

Sprint said "no other information that could create a substantial risk of fraud or identity theft was acquired." The company reportedly learned about the breach in late June and has recently reset PIN codes for all accounts that were impacted.

It is not known how many Sprint customers were affected.
