Where are they now: The 2006 Indianapolis Colts

Only five players from the 2006 Super Bowl team are still currently active in the NFL. We took a look at the final roster from the Super Bowl squad to see where they’re at now.

February 4, 2007. Peyton Manning finally got over the hump and led his Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl win over the Chicago Bears. With Manning retiring after the end of last season, only five players from that team are still currently active in the NFL. We took a look at the final roster from the Super Bowl squad to see where they’re at now. The roster is ordered in alphabetical order by last name.

#29 Joseph Addai, running back, member of the Colts from 2006-2011

  • Addai hasn’t been on an NFL roster since July 25, 2012 when he was released by the New England Patriots prior to preseason. Addai had a solid career with the Indianapolis Colts, especially his first two years where he rushed for over 1,000 yards in both seasons.

#41 Antoine Bethea, safety, member of the Colts from 2006-2013

  • Bethea is one of four members from the 2006-07 team that is still currently active in the NFL today. Bethea will be entering his third season with the San Francisco 49ers. Last year, his season was cut short after he was placed on the Injured Reserve after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Week 7.

#50 Rocky Boiman, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2006-2007

  • Boiman spent time with five different teams after leaving the Colts in 2007 and now currently acts as a color analyst for ESPNEWS and ESPNU, covering college football games. Boiman also currently hosts a late night show on 700 WLW in Cincinnati. He has also called games for ESPN3, Westwood One and Sky Sports.

#58 Gary Brackett, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2003-2011

#79 Raheem Brock, defensive tackle, member of the Colts from 2002-2009

  • Brock spent time with the Titans and Seahawks after being released from the Colts. Brock had a few run-ins with the law after leaving Indianapolis. On June 16 2011, Brock was arrested for walking out on a $27 bar tab and then on December 6, 2011 he was charged with driving under the influence.

#44 Dallas Clark, tight end, member of the Colts from 2003-2011

#47 Jerome Collins, tight end, member of the Colts in 2006

  • After being released from the Colts, Collins spent one season with the Giants. Collins is currently the head strength and conditioning coach at Mac Speed and Strength, a training facility that works on developing athletes from the ages of 10 to 18.

#42 Jason David, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2004-2006

  • After leaving the Colts, David spent time with the Saints and Lions. David founded STARS, which stands for Sports Training and Rehabilitation Services, is a group of performance trainers and doctors provide athletes of all levels the tools needed to perform at the highest level.

#71 Ryan Diem, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2001-2011

#30 DeDe Dorsey, running back, member of the Colts in 2006

  • Dorsey played with the Bengals and Lions after being released by the Colts in 2007. He also played for the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League.

#20 Mike Doss, safety, member of the Colts from 2003-2006

  • After being released by the Colts in 2007, Doss spent time with the Vikings and Bengals. Doss currently works as a territory sales consultant with the Warsaw, Indiana-based company Biomet.

#76 Daniel Federkeil, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2006-2009

  • Federkeil retired from the NFL following the 2009 season due to a series of concussions but he eventually returned to football to play for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League in 2013. He is currently still a member of the Stampeders and won the Grey Cup in 2014.

#81 Bryan Fletcher, tight end, member of the Colts from 2005-2007

  • After being released by the Colts following the 2007 season, Fletcher didn’t play in the NFL again. Fletcher is now a managing director at Credit Suisse, a Swiss multinational financial services holding company.

#93 Dwight Freeney, defensive end/linebacker, member of the Colts from 2002-2012

  • Freeney is currently a free agent and is actively looking for a team to play for in the 2016 season. Since not being re-signed by the Colts in 2013, Freeney has spent time with the Chargers and the Cardinals. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 16 of last season where he had three sacks and a forced fumble.

#57 Dylan Gandy, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2005-2007

  • After being released by the Colts in 2008, Gandy spent time with the Broncos, Raiders, Lions and Bears.

#51 Gilbert Gardner, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2004-2006

  • After being released by the Colts in 2007, Gardner spent time with the Titans, Lions and Bears. Gardner is a Purdue University alum.

#43 Matt Giordano, safety, member of the Colts from 2005-2008

  • After being released in 2009, Giordano spent time with the Packers, Saints, Raiders and Rams. Giordano is now currently the head coach at Buchanan High School in Clovis, California where he graduated from.

#78 Tarik Glenn, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 1997-2006

  • Glenn spent his entire career as a member of the Indianapolis Colts and announced his retirement on July 24, 2007. Glenn is the founder and president of Dream Alive Incorporated which is an Indianapolis-based non-profit organization. Glenn is also the assistant director of the Athletic Study Center at UC Berkeley.

#96 Johnathan Goddard, defensive end, member of the Colts from 2005-2006

#56 Tyjuan Hagler, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2005-2009, 2010

  • Hagler spent time with the Seahawks training camp in 2010 but chose to re-sign with the Colts. Hagler founded the Tyjuan Hagler Foundation which looks to enhance individual sports skills as well as instill character development through teamwork and good sportsmanship.

#25 Nick Harper, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2001-2006

  • Harper spent time with the Titans after his time in Indianapolis. Harper is most known for recovering the fumble by Jerome Bettis in the 2005 playoffs before being tripped up by Ben Roethlisberger. Kicker Mike Vanderjagt would go on to miss the game-tying field goal.

#88 Marvin Harrison, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 1996-2008

#26 Kelvin Hayden, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2005-2010

  • After his time spent in Indianapolis, Hayden played for the Falcons and Bears and is currently a free agent. Hayden’s first career interception came in Super Bowl XLI where he took a Rex Grossman pass 56 yards for a touchdown.

#28 Marlin Jackson, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2005-2009

  • After his time in Indy, Jackson spent a year playing for the Eagles but was later released after suffering a right Achilles tendon rupture. Jackson is the founder of the Fight for Life Foundation which helps youth develop the social and emotional qualities needed to be successful in life. Jackson is also the CEO of Prepare to Succeed which provides social knowledge and guidance for college athletes to help them transition into life after college.

#27 Tim Jennings, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2006-2009

  • After his time in Indy, Jennings had a successful stint playing for the Bears where he made two Pro Bowls in 2012 and 2013 and was also a second-team All-Pro in 2012. He also had a short stint with the Buccaneers in 2015. He is currently a free agent.

#74 Charlie Johnson, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2006-2010

  • After his time spent with the Colts, Johnson played three seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. Johnson is currently still active in the NFL, but he is a free agent.

#59 Cato June, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2003-2006

  • After not being re-signed by the Colts, June spent time with the Buccaneers, Texans, Bears and also played for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. June is now the running backs coach at Howard University. June also was the head football coach at CH Flowers High School from 2015-2016.

#54 Freddy Keiaho, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2006-2009

  • After his time spent in Indianapolis, Keiaho played a season in Jacksonville where he spent most of the year on injured reserve. After retiring from the NFL, Keiaho was a peace officer for the City of Venture and also an agent intern at State Farm.

#61 Dan Klecko, defensive tackle, member of the Colts from 2006-2007

  • After his time in Indy, Klecko spent time with the Eagles and the Falcons. Klecko is currently a marketing executive at Gallagher McIntyre.

#99 Ryan LaCasse, defensive end, member of the Colts in 2006

  • LaCasse had a short NFL career, being a preseason member for the Ravens in 2006 and then later that season he joined the Colts. LaCasse has been busy in his post-NFL career as he was an associate at Banyan Capital LLC, a graduate assistant football coach at Syracuse University and is currently vice president of financial counseling at The Ayco Company, a Goldman Sachs Company.

#65 Ryan Lilja, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2004-2009

  • After being released by the Colts, Lilja spent time with the Chiefs and Broncos. Lilja came out of retirement in 2013 to play one season with Peyton Manning.

#18 Peyton Manning, quarterback, member of the Colts from 1998-2011

  • Most people know what Manning has been up to since being released from the Colts and giving that “Thank you for letting me be your quarterback” speech, but just in case here’s a brief rundown. He spent time with the Broncos leading them to two Super Bowls, winning one, and then at the conclusion of the 2015 season Manning announced his retirement. He is also known as being an avid spokesperson for Papa John’s Pizza.

#98 Robert Mathis, defensive end/linebacker, member of the Colts from 2003-present

  • Mathis has spent his entire career with the Colts and it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere anytime soon. Mathis is the Indianapolis Colts all-time sacks leader with 118.0. He’s also a six-time Pro Bowler, former First-team All-Pro and former AFC Defensive Player of the Year.

#92 Anthony McFarland, defensive tackle, member of the Colts from 2006-2007

  • McFarland only spent one season with the Colts in which turned out to be his final season in the NFL. McFarland is currently a sports radio host in Tampa Bay on 98.7 The Fan and is also a college football analyst for the SEC Network.

#85 Aaron Moorehead, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 2003-2007

  • Moorehead’s professional career only lasted four years and they were all spent in Indianapolis. After retiring from the NFL, Moorehead has been a wide receivers coach at Virginia Tech, Stanford University and now at Texas A&M.

#94 Rob Morris, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2000-2007

  • Morris’s seven year career was spent entirely in Indianapolis. Morris finished his career in Indy with 482 combined tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.

#23 James Mungro, running back, member of the Colts from 2002-2006

  • After tearing his ACL, Mungro retired from the Colts following the Super Bowl season. Mungro was most recently a running backs coach for DePauw University.

#53 Keith O’Neil, linebacker, member of the Colts from 2005-2006

  • After spending time with the Colts, he had a short stint playing with the New York Giants. O’Neil said that he retired after only five seasons to focus on improving his mental health. O’Neil is the founder & president of the 4th and Forever Foundation which is a program dedicated to assisting those living with and affected by mental health conditions.

#90 Montae Reagor, defensive tackle, member of the Colts from 2003-2006

  • After being released by the Colts, Reagor spent one season with the Philadelphia Eagles. Reagor is currently a coach at Ennis High School and helps coach football, basketball and track.

#95 Darrell Reid, defensive tackle, member of the Colts from 2005-2008

  • After his time in Indianapolis, Reid spent two seasons playing for the Broncos. Reid is currently an independent distributor with Vivri, a company that wants to share essential nutrition with the world. Reid is also the CEO of D. Reid Development, a company that focuses on personal growth, and the founder of Footz Foundation which aims to educate, empower and inspire youth to believe and achieve.

#36 Dexter Reid, safety, member of the Colts from 2005-2006

  • Reid’s stint with the Colts was his last run in the NFL. Shortly after his time in the NFL, Reid was sentenced to two years in prison for possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute. However, his sentence was suspended with the agreement that he would stay out of trouble for two years.

#33 Dominic Rhodes, running back, member of the Colts from 2001-2006, 2008 and 2010

  • After having more than 100 rushing yards in Super Bowl XLI, Rhodes joined the Oakland Raiders. He also spent time with the Bills, Florida Tuskers of the UFL and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Rhodes is currently the CEO and president of Texas Tycoon LLC Real Estate and also is the CEO of Rhodes to Success Foundation which is a non-profit community based organization that focuses on the needs of the children in our community.

#34 T.J. Rushing, cornerback, member of the Colts from 2006-2009

  • After his time in Indy, Rushing had a short stint with the Lions and also the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Rushing is currently the defensive backs coach at Arizona State University.

#21 Bob Sanders, safety, member of the Colts from 2004-2010

  • After being released from the Colts, Sanders signed a one-year deal with the Chargers. However after only two games, Sanders was placed on injured reserve due to knee problems. Sanders had a very solid season in Indy being named to the Pro Bowl twice, he made First-Team All-Pro twice and was also the Defensive Player of the Year in 2007.

#64 Bo Schobel, defensive end, member of the Colts in 2006

  • After his 2006 stint with the Colts, Schobel spent time with the Cardinals, Jaguars and Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. Schobel is currently a financial advisor for Synergy, an independent financial advisory firm.

#73 Jake Scott, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2004-2007

  • After Scott’s tenure with the Colts, he spent time with the Titans, Eagles and Lions. Scott is most notably known for being selected to the 2004 Football Digest All-Rookie Team after starting nine games that season.

#17 Hunter Smith, punter, member of the Colts from 1999-2008

  • After his career in Indianapolis, Smith played from 2009-2010 for the Washington Redskins where he became the first special-teams player in NFL history to run and pass for a touchdown in the same season. Smith is currently a member of “The Hunter Smith Band”, a religious band. In 2012, Smith published a book titled The Jersey Effect: Beyond the World Championship which is about several members of the Colts that Smith played with and details some of the battles that they faced.

#12 Jim Sorgi, quarterback, member of the Colts from 2004-2009

  • After being Peyton Manning’s longtime backup quarterback, Sorgi signed with the New York Giants to compete to be Eli Manning’s backup quarterback. However, Sorgi tore his right shoulder and was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve. Sorgi is an NFL Analyst and Commentator for the Colts and is also the owner and manager of Sorgi Sports LLC.

#84 John Standeford, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 2004-2007

  • After his time in Indy, Standeford spent time with the Lions, Florida Tuskers of the United Football League and the Bengals. Standeford is currently involved with strategy development at LHP Engineering Solutions. He is a graduate from Purdue University.

#83 Brandon Stokley, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 2003-2006

  • After his stint in Indianapolis, Stokley played for the Broncos, Seahawks, Giants, a second stint with the Broncos and finished his career with the Ravens. Stokley also started his career in Baltimore. Stokley is currently a co-host for 104.3 The Fan in Denver.

#91 Josh Thomas, defensive end, member of the Colts from 2004-2009

  • Thomas only played for one team in his NFL career and that was the Colts. Thomas finished his NFL career with 108 tackles, six sacks and four pass deflections.

#69 Matt Ulrich, offensive lineman, member of the Colts from 2005-2006

  • After retiring from the NFL, Ulrich co-founded Dexa Fit which is a body fat testing and metabolic analysis corporation. He is currently an advisor at The Football Players Health Study at Harvard University and also a partner and managing director at Profitable Ideas Exchange.

#4 Adam Vinatieri, kicker, member of the Colts from 2006-present

#87 Reggie Wayne, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 2001-2014

  • After not being re-signed by the Colts, Wayne signed a one-year contract with the Patriots but he never played a game with them as he was granted his wish to be released. He officially retired January 15, 2016. Wayne finished his career as a member of the 1,000 catch club and 10,000 receiving yards club.

#10 Terrence Wilkins, wide receiver, member of the Colts from 1999-2001, 2003, 2006

  • After winning the Super Bowl with the Colts in 2006, Wilkins retired from the NFL. Wilkins is currently the wide receivers coach at the Football University camp and is also a trainer and consultant at Fit Life Factor.
