INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven entered the evening having gone a full year without a loss at home, and the streak will last at least one more week following a 2-0 win over the Carolina RailHawks in front of 8,649 fans at IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium.

Justin Braun’s seventh goal of the season in the dying moments of the first half would make the difference, while Nicki Paterson’s 77th minute free kick goal and Souleymane Youla’s 90th minute finish added some insurance in a win that pushed Indy Eleven’s home record in 2016 to 12W-3D-0L.

The shutout was Indy Eleven’s second straight and third in its last four outings and gave goalkeeper Jon Busch his 10th clean sheet on the season, tied for the third most in the NASL this season.

Meanwhile, the loss kept Carolina on the wrong side of the red line in regards to their chase for the fourth and final berth in The Championship, the RailHawks remaining on 37 points, now four points behind Minnesota United FC.

Indy Eleven will play its third of four games in a span of 11 days this Wednesday, Oct. 19, when it travels to the Sunshine State to take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
