GAME BLOG: Colts win 19-17 against the Titans

The Indianapolis Colts face off against the Tennessee Titans in the second game of the regular season.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTHR) β€” The Indianapolis Colts are gearing up to take on the Tennessee Titans. Follow along for game updates.

4:05 p.m. - Colts beat the Titans 19-17. This is their first win of the regular season.

4:04 p.m. - Just inside the 50 yard line, Titans go for it on fourth and the pass is incomplete.

4:01 p.m. - The punt lands just inside the Titans' 25 yard line. Titans still trail by 2. The team is out of timeouts. Colts have two timeouts remaining.

4 p.m. - Colts are forced to punt with just a minute left.

3:57 p.m. - That's the 2-minute warning. It will be third down for the Colts on their own 37 yard line.

3:55 p.m. - The Colts inch past the first down marker. The drive continues.

3:52 p.m. - Colts come up short of the first down. Reich decides to go for it on fourth down.

3:49 p.m. - Brissett takes the field with just over 3 minutes to go in the game. Colts lead by 2.

3:48 p.m. - Titans decide not to go for it on fourth down. They punt the ball.

3:43 p.m. - Vinatieri misses another field goal. Colts lead 19-17.

3:42 p.m. - Touchdown Colts!

3:41 p.m. - A 55-yard sprint by Jordan Wilkins comes up big for the Colts. Indy is in the red zone with less than 5 minutes to play.

3:32 p.m. - The Colts continue to struggle to convert possession into points. They'll punt with 8:26 left in the fourth.

3:27 p.m. - Mariota sacked on third down. Attempted field goal is no good.

3:22 p.m. - Colts' CB Pierre Desir will not return this game.

3:17 p.m. - Colts continue to trail as the third quarter comes to an end. Titans are first and 10 at the 30 yard line.

3:13 p.m. - After a 5-yard penalty, the Colts can't convert on 3rd down. They'll have to punt the ball.

3:11 p.m. - Mack pushes past the defense to get the first down. Colts are inching closer to Titans' territory.

3:10 p.m. - A pass from Brissett is deflected off the hands of Doyle. Titans' Evans almost picks it off.

3:06 p.m. - Titans' Cairo Santos makes 49-yard field goal. Titans lead 17-13.

3:02 p.m. - Fumble recovered by Tennessee. This is the second time today that the Colts QB has overturned the ball.

3:02 p.m. - Colts tweet that Desir's knee is getting checked out. His return is "questionable."

3:01 p.m. - Pass complete. Doyle gets another Indianapolis first down.

3 p.m. - Brissett sneaks the ball in for a first down.

2:52 p.m. - Titans TD! Derrick Henry scores to help Tennessee take the lead. Extra point is good. 14-13 Titans.

2:51 p.m. - Colts starting cornerback Pierre Desir walks off the field after going down for an injury.

2:50 p.m. - Davis catches pass from Mariota for a pick up of 26. First and goal Titans.

2:41 p.m. - The second half has started.

2:40 p.m. - It's the hottest game on record at the Titans' Nissan Stadium at a sizzling 95 degrees. Real feel: 99 degrees. WTHR Photojournalist Ben Reiff weighs in.

2:37 p.m. - Two Titans' jerseys are being retired at half: Steve McNair and Eddie George

2:25 p.m. - Colts lead Titans 13-7 at the half. Colts will start with the ball in the second half.

2:20 p.m. - Just over a minute in the first half and Colts have the ball at the 5 yard line.

2:17 p.m. - As Titans look to take the lead before the end of the half, Autry sacks Mariota. Colts take a timeout.

2:14 p.m. - Two minute warning before the first half ends.

2:10 p.m. - Jacoby Brisett's pass is intercepted. Titan's ball.

2:07 p.m. - Former Colts' punter Pat McAfee gives his thoughts on Vinatieri's missed field goal.

2:04 p.m. - Mariota is sacked and he fumbles the football. Titans recover the ball.

2:03 p.m. - Mariota's leap to a first down is taken away after a holding penalty is called on the Titans. Replay third down.

1:57 p.m. - Adam Vinatieri misses extra point. Score is 13-7.

1:56 p.m. - First career TD for rookie Paris Campbell. Colts take the lead.

1:53 p.m. - Colts T.Y. Hilton catches a bullet from Brissett for a 19-yard gain and a first down.

1:49 p.m. - Brissett escapes two sacks and manages to get the first down for the Colts.

1:46 p.m. - Incomplete pass on third down. Flag is thrown for pass interference on Titans. Colts get an automatic first down.

1:46 p.m. - Out of a timeout, Colts don't get the snap in time and receive a false start penalty.

1:38 p.m. - TOUCHDOWN Titans! Tennessee ties up the game at the start of the second quarter.

1:33 p.m. - Titans' offense continues to move down the field with another first down. They're inside the 20 yard line.

1:31 p.m. - Tajae Sharpe completes his first catch of the season to give Titans the first down at the Colts' 38 yard line.

1:25 p.m. - Colts take first timeout of the half with 7 minutes to play. Colts lead 7-0.

1:20 p.m. - Titans Quarterback Marcus Mariota fails to convert on the team's second possession of the game. Titans punt the ball.

1:14 p.m. - TOUCHDOWN Colts! Ebron catches shuttle pass and rushes to the endzone. Indianapolis leads 7-0.

1:12 p.m. - Pass complete! Eric Ebron goes 13 yards to get the first down.

1:10 p.m. - Jacoby Brissett sacked on first down for a loss of seven yards.

1:06 p.m. - Titans are three and out after coming up just short on third down in their first possession of the game.

1:03 p.m. - Colts win the coin toss and defer. Titans will start with the football.

1:00 p.m. - A fire started on the field following a pyrotechnics mishap. The fire is out.

12:44 p.m. - The heat is on. It's a hot day in Nashville at 89 degrees as the Colts and Titans are ready for Game 2 of the regular season. Let's hope everyone stays hydrated!
