INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Domantas Sabonis is headed to the All-Star Game.
The Indiana Pacers forward was named as a reserve for next month's game in Chicago. Sabonis joins five other first-time all-stars who were also named as reserves Thursday night.
Captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will pick their own teams from the pool of eight starters and 14 reserves, regardless of which conference their team plays in.
Sabonis is the 14th Pacers player to make the NBA All-Star Game, the team announced. He is averaging 18 points and 12.8 rebounds this season.
The NBA All-Star Game will be played Feb. 16.
