Pacers reveal schedule for upcoming season

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indiana Pacers unveiled their schedule for the upcoming season Monday.

The Pacers will open the season at home October 23 against Central Division rival Detroit. The Boston Celtics, featuring Butler alum Gordon Hayward and rookies Romeo Langford from IU and Purdue's Carsen Edwards visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse December 11 and March 10.

The defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors are in town on December 23 and February 7. The Pacers will host the Philadelphia 76ers on New Year's Eve.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers visit on December 17 and the Golden State Warriors are in Indianapolis on March 18.

The Pacers will play six games on national television, including the second visit from Toronto and the Golden State game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on ESPN, along with a home game against Milwaukee on February 12. Road games against Milwaukee (March 4) and Boston (April 8) will also be on ESPN. The February 27 game against Portland at Bankers Life Fieldhouse will air on TNT.

The Pacers will also make six appearances on NBATV.

The team announced the schedule with a Netflix-themed release on Twitter Monday afternoon.
