INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indiana Pacers guard Darren Collison is calling it a career.

The 10-year NBA veteran announced his retirement in a blog post on "The Undefeated" Friday night.

"While I still love basketball, I know there is something more important, which is my family and my faith," Collison said.

Collison, who played two stints with Indiana, was drafted in 2009 out of UCLA. He averaged 12.5 points and five assists in his NBA career. He averaged 11.2 points and six assists last year for the Pacers.

"I have had the privilege over the past 10 years to play in front of some of the best fans and with some of the best organizations in the league," Collison said.

In addition to four years in Indianapolis, Collison also played in New Orleans, Dallas, Sacramento and played one season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
