INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is hosting a major event this weekend.

The Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard powered by Florida Georgia Line is Sunday.

But there are plenty of other events leading up to race day to keep fans busy. IMS President Doug Boles joined us Tuesday on Eyewitness News at Noon. He said unlike last year when it rained, fans don't have any excuse to miss the race.

"Normally I don't watch the weather, but I've been watching the forecast 10 days out, 5 days out, 'cause last year was so rainy," Boles said. "It's going to be beautiful weather. It's what makes Indiana...fall in Indiana so great."

If you're not going out to the track, you can watch the Brickyard 400 on Channel 13. NASCAR's "Countdown to Green" starts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by the 26th Running of the Brickyard 400.
