Don't look now, Pat McAfee, but you've got some competition.
While the Colts' "Boomstick" blasted a 74-yard kick during Sunday's win over Chicago, Frankton senior Jack Rogers has him beat:
Punting from Frankton's own eight-yard line in Friday's game against Mississinewa, Rogers' booted the ball from just inside his own goal line, sending it 70 yards in the air, with the ball coming to rest just inside the opposing endzone, unfortunately for a touchback.
The 100-yard punt wasn't Rogers' only monster boot of the game. Check out his highlight video from the game, showing him regularly clearing 60 yards.
Rogers is averaging more than 43 yards per punt this season and about 36 yards per kick over his four-year career with the Eagles. Twenty of his punts have stopped inside the 20-yard line in his career.
