Dixon responds to girl who said violent Indy 500 crash made her cry

IndyCar driver Scott Dixon's reply to a little girl's letter likely just made her day.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - IndyCar driver Scott Dixon just made a little girl's day with his latest tweet.

You might remember that crash that took the pole winner out of the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500.

An 11-year-old girl named Lucy wrote IndyCar a letter.

She thanked them for keeping Dixon safe after the crash, saying it scared her and made her cry when she saw it on television.

Dixon saw the letter and replied online.

"Lucy, What a sweet letter. I'm doing really well, thank you. IndyCar works hard to keep us safe. Hope I get to meet you one day."
