13INside Track listens to violinists from 13 countries at The Indianapolis, a violin competition

Learn how to experience this international violin competition that happens once every four years – from attending in person, to streaming the competition online.

INDIANAPOLIS — ARTICLE SPONSORED BY THE INTERNATIONAL VIOLIN COMPETITION OF INDIANAPOLIS

Glen Kwok, Executive Director of The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, shares their name around the world is, "The Indianapolis."

The Indianapolis runs through September 25th online and at The Basile Theatre. "We are in the midst of the competition. We have 39 violinists from 13 countries who are here, and they are aged between 19 and 29. In the preliminary rounds, there are 39 violinists that have to compete. And then we will move onto the semifinal round, which is 16 violinists."

Kwok shares "It only happens once every 4 years. We will hope that you will come be in the audience, enjoy these spectacular performances, enjoy the incredible pyrotechnics that these violinists display, and then if you can't be with us, imagine that every single minute is streamed live on our website."
