BAY COUNTY, Mich. — ARTICLE SPONSORED BY TRAVEL MICHIGAN

The Great Lakes Bay Region is excited to welcome guests back to Michigan this summer. Michael Hensley, Travel Marketing Manager, shared details about the variety of restaurants, outdoor activities, and upcoming festivals in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Over July 4th weekend, Bay City held a fireworks festival.

"One of the well-known fireworks displays in the state," Hensley claimed. "With lots of opportunities for antique shopping, craft shows, carnivals, just wholesome family gathering over those fireworks."

The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational was held at the Midland Country Club over July 12 - 17.

"That's a spectator LPGA tournament event," Hensley said. "You'll be able to view that in person if you get tickets pretty quick here."

Other events coming this summer are:

  • Munger Potato Festival (July 29 - August 1)
  • Frankenmuth Antique Fire Muster (July 31)
  • Saginaw County Fair (August 3 - 7)
  • Midland Riverdays Festival / Midland Balloon Fest (August 5 - 7)
  • Frankenmuth Flower Festival (August 6 - 15)
