BARTHOLOWMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - A Clifford resident made an unusual 911 call Friday evening.

They reported an “odd” looking animal in the area.

The animal was determined to be a coatimundi, a slimmer raccoon-like species which are native to South America but also live in parts of Arizona.

This particular coatimundi was friendly when captured by a Bartholomew County deputy.

It appears to have be tamed or domesticated and the sheriff's office believes it could be someone’s pet.
