INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – With millions of people stuck in their homes during the coronavirus pandemic, many are turning to Netflix to stay entertained.

However, some were left in the dark Wednesday during an outage that users in parts of the U.S. and Europe were experiencing.

The streaming service was unavailable for about an hour to some users, Netflix confirmed to Variety.

Netflix released the following statement to Variety:

“Some of our members in the U.S. and Europe were unable to use Netflix via our website for around an hour this morning. The issue is now fixed and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.”

According to website DownDetector, user complaints of problems accessing Netflix spiked a little after 12:30 p.m. ET. The site showed error reports across the U.S. in the Northeast, Southern California, the Pacific Northwest and Texas, as well as parts of Northern Europe.

As of 2 p.m., DownDetector still showed Netflix outages in the U.S. on the east and west coasts and Texas.
