Snow Totals and New Weather Concerns to Start the Weekend - Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog

The winter storm that brought freezing rain, sleet and snow to central Indiana on Friday is moving east and out of our area. Snow totals are in the range of an inch to 4". Those higher totals are coming from some of southern counties. Here are a few reports.

Wind and cold will be the weather issues as we go into the weekend. That wind will be a north wind 20-30mph. This is strong enough to blow and drift the snow across east/west roads. As temperatures fall into the teens, re-freezing will be a big issue overnight and early Saturday. Most of the main roads were clear of snow, but any road that looks wet might be icy. The secondary, side and neighborhood roads will still be snow and ice covered, so allow extra travel time this weekend.

It will be even colder Saturday night into Sunday morning, as temperatures fall into the single digits. There is another chance for snow Sunday night and Monday. We will keep you updated on how much. Have a great weekend.
