We're seeing a rain/sleet/snow mix across central Indiana. Areas to the northwest of the Indianapolis metro area are already seeing some accumulation.

5:15 p.m. Viewer pictures and snowfall reports as snow begins to fall across more areas of our viewing area:

1:12 p.m. - Benton County is reporting white-out conditions amid a blizzard warning. 

Indiana State Troopers in Boone County are reporting heavy freezing rain and slick road conditions. "Be prepared for very hazardous driving conditions," says Sgt. John Perrine with the Indiana State Police.

12:43 p.m. - The northbound lanes of I-65 are closed near State Road 18 in White County due to a crash.

12:40 p.m. -  Mary Milz reports heavy, wet snow falling in the Lafayette creating slushy, slick conditions. It's been a busy day for plow drivers like Chris Rowe, who works for Fox Paving. He says the snow started at around 8:00 am Wednesday.

"It's slick out there. You definitely have to watch what you're doing. It's gonna keep on through the majority of the day and night," he said.

Plow drivers are trying to push the snow off the roads and get the salt down. The other concern is that the precipitation will turn to ice as temperatures tumble overnight.

8:35 a.m. - Rain turning to sleet in Fort Wayne be careful traveling north or If possible wait until tomorrow

8:30 a.m. - Add Fall Creek and Keystone to the list of signal problems. Flashing Red in all directions. Traffic backed up

8:10 a.m. - Serious crash on SR 109 southwest of Markleville in Madison Co. Intersection will be shut down. Detour via SR 234 and SR 38.

7:55 a.m. - 

7:50 a.m. - Heavy rain and 36 mph winds downtown right now.

7:40 a.m. - Signal problems 11th/Meridian, 16th/Alabama, SR 37/131st, expect delays especially on SR37

7:15 A.M. - Crash on SB I-65 in northern Boone County near the rest area

7 a.m. - Inbound I-70 backed up by crash west of Keystone. Expect delays.

6:40 a.m. - Crash northbound I-465 south of 56th St on east side. Expect delays. Detour on Shadeland Ave.

6:35 a.m. - 


6 a.m. - SR 28 just east of Frankfort: Mainly rain, but a little bit of sleet mixed in. No snow yet.
