Smoky Sky Coming... Again

You'll likely notice an increase in haze Monday afternoon and a "smoky" sunset Monday evening.

This is due to remnant wildfire smoke from Canada drifting south toward the Ohio Valley and is modeled to hang around into at least mid-week.

Expect filtered sun from time-to-time with very colorful sunrises and sunsets beginning Monday evening.

You should be able to give the A/Cs a break Monday night with lows ranging from the mid/upper 50s north to 60-65F central/south.

Tuesday begins comfortable but the dry air heats up quickly with abundant sun. Highs top-out near 90 and the humidity creeps with climbing dewpoints.

Humid heat produces heat indices near 100F again Wednesday afternoon with isolated late-day downpours and storms possible. Another cool front is expected to move across the state Wednesday night and brings a brief break from muggy air Thursday/Friday.

Long-range guidance supports highs near/above 90 next weekend with mainly sunny conditions - Sean Ash
