Small aircraft lands at Indianapolis after experiencing 'gear problems'

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - There has been an incident involving a small aircraft landing at Indianapolis International Airport.

At about 9:30 pm Tuesday, the pilot and lone occupant of a small Cessna airplane reported having “a gear issue.”

An airport spokesperson said the plane landed at the airport at about 9:40 pm. She did not elaborate, saying only that the aircraft is now on the ground and that there were no injuries.

The aircraft's origin is not known, nor is it known whether the plane's destination was Indianapolis or if it had been diverted.

An investigation is underway.
