SkyTrak13 Weather forecast Thursday 6/1/2017 Sunrise

What an incredible welcome to June! Even though temperatures are 5-to-15 degrees cooler than yesterday morning, we are going to have a marvelous day today with mild weather and another nice day tomorrow before the storms move in here over the weekend.

Looking back on May, it was Indianapolis' eighth-wettest May and fifth-wettest meteorological spring (March 1-May 31), with a rainfall surplus of nearly 7" since March 1st.

Many areas this morning drop into the 40s briefly before a rapid rise occurs under a bright sky. If you need to mow your yard, conditions should be perfect today and tomorrow. Highs will top out near 80 again this afternoon with a great blue sky.

The Indianapolis Indians should have a beautiful night at Victory Field.

We are still looking for the re-emergence of humid heat and heavy storms for the upcoming weekend. There should still be dry time most of the day Friday

At this stage, we're expecting multiple rounds of heavy storms and some may possibly be severe Saturday and Sunday. We will fine tune the timing, coverage track, and severity as we get closer.

This precedes a significantly cooler pattern next week when afternoon temperatures may only reach the 60s.
