SkyTrak13 Weather Forecast: Winter Weather Advisory

A good part of central Indiana is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 5am to 9pm Thursday. This includes Indianapolis and areas along and south of I-70. The snowfall forecast is 1-2 inches along and just north of I-70 and 2-4 inches south of I-70.

By late Wednesday evening, the leading edge of the snow was in western Illinois. We are forecasting the snow to move into western Indiana between 3am and 5am Thursday. The rest of central Indiana will have snow arriving around sunrise. This isn't forecast to be a big snow event, but the timing is tough. It may take you longer to get where you are going on Thursday and there might be a few school delays or cancelations. Even a thin layer of snow may cause icy conditions on roads due to the cold air. Temperatures will be in the teens on Thursday. Remember we will have those for you on the app, and scrolling along the bottom of your television.

The snow will come to an end by Thursday evening. Stay tuned for updates and Sunrise on Channel 13 starts at 4am with SnowTeam13 coverage.
