BARGERSVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — One man is in custody after he appeared to have fired shots at officers in Bargersville Sunday night.

The incident happened at an apartment complex off of Indiana 135 around 8 p.m.

Police were responding to a call about a domestic incident involving a man and a woman.

When officers arrived, they saw what appeared to be the flash from a gun in their direction.

No one was hurt in the incident, but police arrested the man.

Police found six shell casings and the weapon at the scene.

“Guns are always a concern for us, especially with domestic violence,” said Officer Jeremy Roll. “Those are the type of situations where emotions are high. It’s a critical time for us to get involved with protecting our constituents.”
