School district responds to student's 'hit list'

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation is responding after a student reportedly showed a "hit list" on a school bus.

The incident happened Wednesday and involved an 8-year-old at Taylorsville Elementary.

The district reports the student had shown a "hit list to another student on the bus."

Law enforcement was then notified and the student was "suspended until a meeting with the family."

School resumed today as normal and the district says students are safe.

Good morning Taylorsville families! The safety of our students is our top priority. Upon receiving a report yesterday involving a threat, we responded immediately. It was reported that an 8-year old student showed a hit list to another student on the bus after school. Law enforcement was notified. The student was suspended until a meeting with family.
