Saturday Snow Update

We're awaiting the first widespread snow accumulation of winter with an arrival time of the first flakes between 3 AM and 7 AM Saturday morning.

Latest data suggests a widespread swath 3" to 5" snowfall for most of Central Indiana by Sunday morning... with locally 6"+ amounts possible if any "banding" of snow develops.

Roads may be slick and snow-covered at times Saturday with moderate to heavy snow rates between Saturday 7 AM - 7 PM. Snow rates should ease Saturday night, but we're expecting snow to remain steady (albeit light) into midday Sunday.

If you're planning to attend the Colt-Chiefs playoff game in Kansas City... we're advising you to leave no later than Friday noon to avoid heavy snowfall along I-70 Friday night and Saturday.

In fact, some of the heaviest snow amounts with this storm likely fall along I-70 across Missouri and Illinois to the tune of 5"-8".

Please follow the forecast closely for updates and likely changes between now and Saturday morning - Sean Ash
