SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WTHR) - The Salvation Army of Central Indiana spent part of Wednesday golfing for kids in the middle of the speedway.

The annual fundraiser is at the Brickyard Crossings Golf Course, which has several holes inside Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

It raises money for the Hidden Falls Camp in southern Indiana.

"This is absolutely my most favorite thing we do in the Salvation Army," said Major Bob Webster. "We are known for recovery stuff and this is preventive. This is just fun, this is educational. We have kids come out to the camp, literally thousands come out to Hidden Falls over the year and we get them out of their environment and into the great outdoors and amazing things happen."

The camp hosts kids for a week and runs all summer long. It is open to kids as young as 6.
