PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) - A logistics company's Plainfield facility changes hands this summer.

Ryder notified the state Department of Workforce Development last week it plans 'cessation of operations' at the facility near the Indianapolis International Airport July 12.

The initial letter warned the state May 7 some 436 employees would be laid off in the process, but a spokesperson reached out to WTHR.com Monday afternoon to say all but one of those employees have either been hired by the new company taking over the facility or given a position elsewhere at Ryder.

"Ryder is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for the customer and its new service provider, which will continue operations at the facility," she said.
