WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — A Richmond man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a crash in Wayne County Tuesday.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, 63-year-old Kevin Morris was driving east on U.S. 40 when his Ford Focus crossed the center line. His car collided with a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 27-year-old Amber Whitt, also of Richmond.

Morris, who was a priest at St. Susanna in Plainfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Whitt suffered a broken leg, internal injuries and a possible neck injury. Two children were also in her vehicle at the time of the crash. One of the children, an 8-year-old, suffered a possible broken jaw, but a 10-year-old child in the car did not appear to be injured.

The Wayne County Coroner's Office will determine an official cause of Morris' death.

Visitations and services will be in Richmond and Indianapolis.
