Rating the Restaurants: Who has America's favorite fast food?

Chick-fil-A was named America's top fast food chain last year.

American's love Chick-fil-A, according to a recent survey of fast food restaurants.

The home of "the original chicken sandwich" scored 86 out of 100 on the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index restaurant report. The score is the highest ever recorded by a fast food chain.

Chipotle Mexican Grill came in second with and 83, followed by Panera Bread's 80 points. Each of the top three restaurants are new to the list.

McDonald's ranked last on the fast food list with a 67.

According to the report, customer satisfaction with fast food restaurants overall dropped 3.8 percent to the lowest score in five years. The report says consumers pressed for time want higher quality ingredients, freshness and better service at a reasonable price.

It also says the high scores for Chipotle and Panera suggest consumers think they're getting a reasonable value for their money.

Texas Roadhouse and LongHorn Steakhouse topped the list for full-service restaurants.
