INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Race for the Cure was rained out Saturday for the first time since the event began 26 years ago, so it's time for a back-up plan.

The race is Komen Central Indiana’s biggest annual fundraiser. Komen is planning to hold the Pink Parade in the parking lot of their office at the Pyramids to honor breast cancer survivors, thank the supporters, and to continue fundraising efforts.

The parade and "Celebration of Hope" will be held May 20 starting at 12:30 p.m. The event will run about two hours.

If you signed up for the race, you can expect an email with more information or find out more about the event at the Komen Central Indiana website.
