Quartet cheers up passengers on delayed flight

Port City Sound sings aboard the delayed flight.

A cheery video taken by an Indiana flight attendant is making its way around the Internet.

Kari Mann was working on a flight from Washington to New Orleans earlier this month that was delayed by maintenance issues.

"I started talking to the passengers and realized we had a barbershop quartet in our presence," Mann recalled on her YouTube page. "I asked them to sing and most of the passengers began video taping!"

The singers were from Port City Sound, a barbershop quartet from Maine. They sang "Under The Boardwalk," among other songs, which Mann wrote changed the mood among the passengers, who spent five hours aboard the plane.

They also had a special serenade just for Kari.

"Thank you to Port City Sound for creating a wonderful memory," Mann wrote.
