Police seek person who abandoned dogs at Strawtown Auction Barn

Police want to know who abandoned two adult dogs and seven puppies at the entrance to the Strawtown Auction Barn on Thursday night.

The adult dogs, Decker Terrier mix, were tied to the fence at the entrance to the Auction Barn and the seven puppies approximately five weeks in age were placed in a large paper cup box. They were found as the auction came to a close Thursday night and turned over to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Animal Control is hoping someone can recognize the adult dogs and identify the owner.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tom Rogers at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at 317-776-4110.

All of the dogs are in the care of the Hamilton County Humane Society.
