Police searching for convicted murderer on the run

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) — Police are searching for a convicted murderer who violated his home detention order for another charge.

Jamie Adams was on home detention for possession of meth when he escaped and ran. The Delaware County Sheriff's Office said Adams took off his ankle monitoring bracelet before leaving the home.

Adams was convicted of murder in 1991 and served 23 years in prison. He was released in 2014.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help to find him.

Sheriff Terry Skinner said the county received a call about a possible sighting on Thursday but police were unable to make contact.
