INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Southport police officers are giving back by cleaning the headstones of fallen heroes at Crown Hill Cemetery.

In a social media post, the police department acknowledged the help of many volunteers, including "the Southside Wolverines cheerleaders, wrestlers and football players organization."

It's part of their second annual "Respect and Honor the Fallen Clean Up."

Their late brother in blue, Lt. Aaron Allan, is buried at Crown Hill.

He was killed in the lane of duty nearly two years ago.
