Police: Man posing as city worker stole jewelry from homes

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) - Police in Greenfield say scammers are tricking people into letting them inside their home to steal jewelry.

Two victims said a man knocked on their door Tuesday, claiming to work for the water department. He said he needed to check the water pressure in their bathroom, which is where he stole the jewelry.

Police say the man, who was in his 30s, was wearing blue jeans and a tan polo shirt.

If you have any information about the man or saw anything suspicious, call police.
